How to create a Meaningful Easter

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

I love spring! It is the season that reminds me that God loves new beginnings. The grassy fields and barren trees that looked so lifeless during the long winter months, begin to show signs of life by either greening up or growing new leaves and flowers. Little lambs can be seen frolicking in the pastures, and baby robins can be heard peeping in their nests.

It is also the season that contains one of my favorite holidays….. EASTER!

Easter is more than egg hunts and chocolate bunnies (though those things are very fun!).

It is the holiday that offers hope to the hopeless, and freedom to the captive. Which is what makes it the most important holiday.

Without Easter dear mama, our children have no hope of experiencing the freedom of forgiveness, the victory over temptation, and the anticipation of eternal life.

We have been given the sacred responsibility of instilling Easter in our children’s souls.

A photo my daughter drew and wanted to share😊

I enjoy sharing the gospel message to the soul who’s life has been wrecked by the consequences of sin, and rejoice with them when they give their heart and life to Jesus.

But Easter is also for the young hearts who have never experienced the scars of sin on their souls and minds.

As Benjamin Franklin said-

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

It is very much true when it comes to our children. They must have a right concept of the Easter story, and why it is important.

A survey conducted on the age at which people made their decision to follow Christ was done by the International Bible Society. It indicated that 83% of Christians gave their heart to Jesus between ages 4-14! The numbers dwindled over time past age 14.

83% is a large number, and most people were still living at home under their parents care.

We, Mama, influence destinies, mold leaders, and help finalize the course of our child’s life.

Being able to read, write, multiple, add, and function in society are very important. Life skills are very important. Good friendships are very important.

But knowing Jesus Christ as one’s personal Lord and Savior at an early age has to be most important.

If we fail to lay a foundation for our children’s faith, we have failed in our job as parents.

But remember Mama, you have God on your side, helping your each step of the way. God chose you to be your child’s teacher, and will epuip you with the wisdom you need each and every day!

Their foundation starts with a right concept of who God is, and why we are important to Him. They must have a clear understanding of Easter, and what it means for them.

We covered the importance of Easter, let’s look at how we can make our celebration count for eternity!
